No Fender and Vert Door

2008 -2010 Update

Well the one year Anniversary of the accident has come and gone and not a whole lot has happen with the reconstruction. Got a fender for the car and I traded all my Ranger 5 lug conversion stuff for a set of SN-95 (1994) front spindles and 1 rotors & caliper set. These will go on the car to replace the SVO/Lincoln front disc parts. Even though I modified my current wheels to work with what is on the car now, this will give me more options in the future if I ever decide to change wheels again plus if I decide I can upgrade to larger disc too.

2007 Dodge Caliber SXT

On May 9th we ran into some bad luck with the Ponystar. It seams that either a head gasket, the head itself, or as I was informed Aerostars where bad for the intakes leaking. Anyways being as it was a 19 year old van and I could not afford to be with out transportation.


What we needed was either a van or mini SUV type vehicle. I was searching the Ford Company site for one that would fit our budget and our needs, the Focus was the only thing in our budget but was too small.

2007 Dodge Caliber SXT 2

A friend of mine suggested I look at Dodges. I have owned a few MOPARS in the past and I would drive them over any GM product out there. So looking at the Dodge web site I found that the Dodge Caliber fit my needs for a Van/SUV type vehicle and it was actually in the same price range as the Focus. So to cut to the chase, we drove the Ponystar with it's original wheels to the Dodge dealer and on May 10th we traded it in, and drove home in a 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT.

In 2009 I started looking for a house and was able to purchase one and moved in the end of July. Thus giving me a real garage where I could start working on the car easier when time and money was available. By the end of 2009 I also found myself single again.

2010 is off to a good start I have been able to work more on the frameless glass conversion. Thanks to a decent tax return I also got some of the machine work done on my parts to build my new motor. As far as the brake upgrade I have the new SN-95 spindles on waiting for new calipers and rotors. More on each of these items later.







Before I started pulling the brakes apart an old friend of mine came by with the car I helped build for her back in the early 90's. She convinced me to fire up my car one more time and do a quick run in it. Here is the video we took that day called Fox Body Fun.


83 Capri RS

The latest news for 2010 is the new addition to the family. I purchased this car May 22 and in the process of getting it running. You can see more about this car here 1983 Mercury Capri RS 5.0.
